Fully bespoke commission
A bespoke statement map is our most ambitious work: a large, layered artwork of a place of real significance, developed with you from the first conversation to the finished piece.
Our standard bespoke map measures 60 × 80cm and is built from up to twenty layers of bamboo, set in a solid frame 7cm deep. At this scale the landscape takes on real presence, from the rise of every hill and the fall of the seabed to the boundaries, landmarks and names that give the place its meaning. We can also make larger pieces and other shapes, round included.
What sets these maps apart is the data behind them. We source the raw survey information for your place and shape our own contours from it, interpreting the landscape so that it captures the character of the place, not just its outline.
Each map is quoted individually, for places in Ireland and anywhere in the world.
